Cute Idea!

Found here.

"Ask the bartender to save all the wine corks from the wedding. Glue then together to make a monogram for the mantle."

Pinterest has flagged weddingdaypin.com, so I have to link this to get around it. Putting this on my "Someday" board!

PS. It is so funny to me that I started this blog so that I could keep all my ideas in one place, because I used to put it on my facebook in a message to myself. Pinterest is a much better way to do this!!

I made a softie!

So way back in this post, I said that I really wanted to make a stuffed animal. Today I finally made one, from a free Martha Stewart pattern. The pattern was for a felt softie, but I used denim from old jeans. The wottle and comb are from red felt.

PS. That is my really cheap walmart sewing machine in the background. The stitch width nob is broken, and sometimes it decides to get stuck, for no logical reason. I love it

Wishlist

So, I have been debating how to compile a master wishlist so that I can access it all at once. I have been posting things to twitter, posting to facebook, emailing myself, facebook messaging myself, etc., so now it's all over the place. Silly me, I can just post to my blog with a wish list tag so that I can click on that tag and voila! Instant wishlist. AWESOME.

Glasses made from dollar store finds, treats made from pretzels coated with melted white chocolate and covered with sprinkles. It's such a cute idea, and inexpensive!

Old stuff

and I don't know where it came from. I'm usually pretty good about citing my sources, but this post fails in that regard.

Last day of 2009!

It's the last day of the decade, and I'm back with a ton of back-log of cool stuff that I love. I'll start with this:

It's marvelous, and I found it over at Little Dash, in this post. She also made the cutest pirate bird:

I really want to try to make a stuffed animal. I don't know why, but I'm nervous about getting into crafts that involve stuffing. I think it's because I don't want to have to go out a buy a ton of it. Haha I'm kind of a dork!

Both of these ideas are from the book Junk Beautiful: Outdoor Edition by Sue Whitney. You can preview it at Amazon.
